Well... Things are definately changing around these parts. Seems to be the season of change on so many levels. For good or for worse, I guess thats something each of us needs to decide. Amongst ourselves we have been working on some very self-gratifying material. We have seemingly stepped outside our own boxes and simply begun to focus on what makes us happy as musicians instead of what "the man" wants to hear. This is true honesty to us. Liftpoint has never been about being the flavor of the moment or the taste of the week. We have always been a team of musicians that have simply wanted to share our art and creation and have seen that there apparently is a market for what we are creating. For this we are ever grateful. Just to give you some insight, we have been playing a ton of new songs in rehearsals and have debuted one that we are very proud about at several shows called "Burn The World." If you have clapped for it, we have been made proud. I have to run as we are off to an interesting festival type show we have been asked to play tonight. There will be live artists and several other great bands we are proud to be playing with. Join us if you can. All the details are in the "tour" section.
•thanks to everyone who came out to our special acoustic performance at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. We were amazed by the capacity turn out and could not have asked for a more attentive audience. If you missed it, we will be around again with this performance. We had all acoustic instruments, congas, mandocello, french horn, oboe, and mandolin. Exciting for sure to work with such amazing players and openminded people. See you all soon. To soundcheck we go.
